ACt 2 Scene 6

“These violent delights have violent ends, And in their triumph die like fire and powder, Which as they kiss consume.” – Friar Lawrence

When saying “These violent delights have violent ends…” Friar Lawrence is saying that the passionate happiness earned from the love will end in disastrously.                                           When saying “…And in their triumph die like fire and powder…” it is meaning that the win that is their love could explode in any instant and harm many.                                                                   When saying “…which as they kiss consume.” the meaning behind is  that when they kiss the potentially dreadful explosion will hit.
